QUARTERLY REPORT FOR JULY 1 – SEPTEMBER 30, 2021

 

The Certification and Agreements for the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) funds provide that each institution applying for HEERF funds must promptly and timely provide a detailed accounting of the use of expenditures of the funds in such manner and which such frequency as the Secretary may require. Each HEERF participating institution must post the information listed below on the institution’s primary website, as an initial report under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs. This report is associated with the approved information collection under OMB control number 1801-0005.

 

1. An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

 

Salon & Spa Institute submitted the signed Certification and Agreement under the CARES Act. (See Link below) Subsequent grant awards for the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA) and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 state that by drawing down grant funds, Salon & Spa Institute agreed to each grant’s specific conditions. (See Link Below) Salon & Spa Institute intends to use the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

2. The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

 

Salon & Spa Institute will receive $87,191 under CRRSAA Grant #P425Q210262 and $50,666 under ARP Grant #P425Q210262.

 

3. The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs as of the date of submission.

 

As of 9/30/2021 Salon & Spa Institute has disbursed $37, 288 (this quarter) $70,438 (cumulative) to students from the HEERF Grant #P425Q210262.

 

4. The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

 

As of 09/30/2021 48 unduplicated students (this quarter) were eligible to receive funding under the CRRSAA and ARP programs.

 

5. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

 

As of 9/30/2021 45 unduplicated students (this quarter) have received funding under the CRRSAA and ARP programs.

 

6. The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

 

Salon & Spa Institute identified and prioritized eligible students with exceptional need based on student’s answers from the Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES ACT/HEERF Form, (CRRSAA).  Students were given the option to voluntarily authorize application of grant funds to an outstanding account balance if they had one. Students were awarded up to $1500.

 

7. Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.

 

Students were encouraged to apply for the emergency aid by completing the CARES Act/HEERF Fund Application. (See Link Below)
